While jetting off on a speedboat may sound like something you’d do in a tropical country, don’t let that put you off getting on a speedboat on the Thames this summer! There are a range of tours - Embankment Pier, Tower Pier, 02 pier, and many more - which allow you to see a completely different side to London. Both adults and children can go, making this the perfect family trip come rain or shine.

The party sees an annual turn-out of around 2 million people from all walks of life and from all ages, making it one of London’s most iconic events, and not one to be missed.

Tickets are just £22.50 for adults and £16.50 for kids, and the zip wire is 35 metres tall – that’s about 9 x double decker buses. The zip wire states that it operates whatever the weather, so this is an activity you can do no matter what.
